Our goal is to keep your data safe, therefore we store it on European servers when possible. At the same time we try to limit the CO² footprint of our digital infrastructure as much as we can. Therefore we choose the location of our main data storage to be in Finland, as the data center there has the lowest CO² footprint.

Some parts are handled via servers in Germany, for example the video call offerings in Spaces.

In an ideal world we would like to host as much as we can by ourselves or use independent / green hosting providers. But as we are in an early stage in our market entry, we had to make a balanced decision that considered safety, scalability, affordability and speed of development. Therefore we use Google Cloud as our main hosting provider currently. We consciously choose Google Cloud as it has the lowest CO² footprint among the big cloud hosting services.
