Does holi plan to charge users for services or features in the future?
As some social enterprises are already demonstrating, we at holi also want to show that entrepreneurship and a focus on the common good can go hand in hand!
Thus, we strive to build a sustainable, self-sustaining company that serves society long-term. For us, sustainable entrepreneurship means, among other things, that we generate our own revenues from which we can cover the costs for our team and our work ourselves and thus make us independent of investors and/or donations in the long term. This means that monetization plays a role in our considerations. However, in the early stages of the project we do not yet know in detail what form of monetization we want to choose.
However, the following topics are important for us to explain, especially when it comes to the topic of monetization:
Common good: Our prime focus is to create value for the community and to support initiatives and people in their engagement. This will always be at the forefront. This also means that we do not intend to charge money to small initiatives or individual users.
Transparency: In all our considerations and plans, we will act and communicate very transparently and involve the community in our thoughts at an early stage. Transparency is one of the pillars for us, which helps us balance our public benefit-oriented vision with a sustainable, self-sustaining economy. For example, we also plan to be transparent about where revenues are generated and in what amounts, and where they flow to.
