General Information

In a Space where you are either an admin or contributor, you can easily initiate or schedule video calls. We've utilized the open-source software Jitsi to ensure interoperability, allowing even those without a holi account to participate in video conferences.

Features

Jitsi offers various essential functionalities, including:

• Screen sharing

• Moderation features such as breakout rooms, assigning moderation rights, and muting

• Recording and saving on your local device

Creating a video conference

To schedule a video call, go to "Get Involved" in your Space, click on the Toolkit, and select "Video Conference". Now you can either (1) enter an existing room by clicking on one of the existing links or (2) create a new link by entering a meaningful name in the text field.

Inviting People

Click on the link you've created. There, you'll see the options "Join Video Conference" and "Share the Link (...)." Clicking on "Share" allows you to either copy the link or share it directly in your local messengers. Anyone with the link can easily join the video conference in any browser.
